Poem: White Knight's in Trouble
63
White Knight's in Trouble
Rusty armour and broken spears
Chainmail stained with unshed tears
Wandering mind unspoken fears
White Knight’s in Trouble
Slow to Gallop on his limping steed
No one here to understand his need
Is there someone to pay him heed?
White Knight’s in Trouble
War is over no trouble in land
Carrying weapons is out of hand
Drop the armour and join a band
White Knight's in Trouble
Distressed Damsels have been rescued
Don’t go riding looking for a feud
Talk to someone to become clued
White Knight's in Trouble
Who comes riding through moonlit night
A brave damsel, love’s leading light
To the rescue of this Broken Knight
No longer Troubled?
Drops his armour and his remorse
Hops on Damsels strong handsome horse
They go riding into the stars
He’s not in Trouble.
He’s not in Trouble...

I agree with Amy's analysis! To the letter! Docmo, this is pure delight! I love it! ps your pictures are wonderful choices!
I shouldn't have read Amy's excellent analysis. Though some would say, once he found the lady that was when he found trouble. :)
Perfect video to accompany a perfect poem.
ps, I love Moody Blues and Knights in White Satin is one of my all time favs! The proverbial cherry on the Sunday!
Docmo, Fay and No_Clue, now you've got my neurons firing and wishing I could find work doing reviews. I guess I'll have to practice the negative pieces, though, and none of you qualify for that endeavor! Much excellence gathered here.
The promise of excellence is already in all of your pieces. That would be the dream of a lifetime...and more fun than I could ever imagine. I don't carry enough weight to give your work the attention it deserves, but I'd do it for the pleasure of doing it for you.
Being a sworn feminist I just l-o-v-e this one. It is so true – both men and women can be a White Knight. In certain relationships they are in fact each other’s, in other it could be either the woman or the man who deserves this honorable title.
There you go, Docmo! I’m so glad you are no longer in trouble. But yes, as you certainly know, trouble is a virus - one never knows where it incubates.
Take care!
Ps: That bewitching picture surely gives substance.
ooooooh - very nice! Love the poem, love the pictures and of course, that's one of my favourite songs! Thanks Docmo!
What a perfect rescue for the knight, Doc. Those who were saved, saved him...he drops his armor and remorse...I loved this!
I loved this. A White Knight in trouble, the Damsel coming to the rescue. Your poetry shows a different perspective on this old Fairy Tale. Thank you.
hmm or perhaps this lady is nothing but trouble, more than he bargained for, for in fairy tales the prince always comes to find the princess in need of rescuing.
Oh no you didn't! Wow!!! The gender twist was awesome, the poem hit a chord and the video ecstasy at the end.....
Love this side of you my friend!
Loved this one...voted up.
Good style, good topic
I like your writing so far.
I'll be paying closer attention later, I'm a little scatter-brained at the moment
I appreciate the comments

These beautiful words beckon the reader on the lonely, slow, sad ride on the limping steed with the knight in need. Your description of the damsel as brave is such pure perfection for the mood of this magical piece. You take the reader through poetry at it's best on a ride that spans the emotional quest of each of us. Reading this piece while listening to your selection in music provided the perfect illustration. Masterfully magnificent masterpiece. You are an artist.
